New Attendance Policy

At Shiloh Elementary, we believe that every day counts. Regular attendance plays a critical role in a student's academic success, social development, and overall school experience. When students attend school consistently, they build strong learning habits, develop meaningful relationships with peers and teachers, and stay on track with classroom instruction.

Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve academic success and develop the skills needed for future success. Even occasional absences can make it challenging for students to keep pace with lessons, class discussions, and hands-on learning experiences that cannot always be recreated at home.

To help ensure clear communication and accurate attendance records, we would like to share our updated attendance procedures for the 2026-2027 school year.

New Attendance Policy Reminders

✅ Parent notes must be submitted within five (5) school days of a student's absence.

✅ All absence notes must be submitted through ParentVUE or directly to the teacher.

✅ Parent notes must reflect consecutive dates of absence. Notes submitted with gaps or non-consecutive dates will not be accepted.

✅ Doctor's notes will be accepted at any time.

How Families Can Help

• Schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
• Encourage consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Communicate absences promptly through ParentVUE or your child's teacher.
• Submit documentation within the required timeframe.
