About the Media Center
The Media Center has books and online resources for assigned study and recreational reading. It is open for use during the entire school day.
Students are encouraged to use the media center for reference work and for selecting books to read. The media specialist is always available to assist those who need help. Students are responsible for replacement of lost or damaged library books and media materials. Failure to fulfill this responsibility will result in report cards not being released to students and parents.
Media Center Check-out
- Students have access to bilingual books in Spanish and English. As well as books in Spanish.
- Students in Kindergarten and First grade can check out one book.
- Students in Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades can check out two books.
- Students can check out books for two weeks.
- If a book is lost or damaged, there is a fine to replace the book. Hardback books have a $15.00 replacement cost. Paperback books have a $5.00 replacement cost.
- Coming Soon! Additional books will be available in Amharic, Burmese, Nephali, Arabic among other languages.
Reader's Rally
What is the Readers Rally?
Readers Rally is a reading quiz bowl style competition for students in 4th and 5th grade. Students read books from a predetermined list and answer questions about those books.
What is the purpose?
The purpose is to promote reading with students who desire to share their love of reading with others. Students will read books from the Readers Rally Book List and participate in discussion and activities pertaining to the books.
The club will culminate in a school competition which will determine the team of ten students who will go on to the county competition.

The Online Research Library allows students to access additional databases and resources, including leveled readers and eBooks. Find directions to access both the media catalog and the online research library here.
You can also download the Libby. This app connects to the Gwinnett County Public Library. If students are signed up for the Branch Out program, they can download the Libby app and read eBooks or listen to audiobooks! Here is information about the Branchout Program in English Spanish

Georgia Reading
Great news! Get Georgia Reading is now offering FREE access to myON Digital Library! Students and their families have access to more than 6,400 online books and age-appropriate news articles! Kids can search more than 50 different categories and genres, fiction and non-fiction, picture books, graphic novels, chapter books, titles for struggling and reluctant readers, and Spanish and bilingual titles. During our Digital Learning Days, we hope that every student gets to maximize his or her reading time! Signing up is easy.
